Electroacoustic string feedback resonator

Lorem Ipsum...
These two related instruments explore the idea of electroacoustic string resonance, and have been a core part of my creative research and performance for the last few years. They grew out of a desire to add sympathetic resonance to any instrument. As I built them, I discovered the potential of using feedback pathways to create new sounds out of that resonance. While most instruments are played additively in that the performer inputs energy to create sound, these are played subtractively: the default sound is chaotic feedback, and the performer sculpts this sound using their hands and filters.

Resin I (below) is an older version that uses analog electronics to create filtering, delay, distortion and amplification. It can be seen and heard in the Winter Music video linked in my composition section.

Resin II (above) is built around a Bela. This audio focused embeddable computer enables digital processing and allows me to adjust the effects and feedback paths for different performance situations. It can be seen and heard in the Golds video linked in my composition section.
